SNAP Assistance Program
For the most current information about accepting SNAP in a farmers market or other farm business, please visit: https://farmersmarketcoalition.org/programs/freesnapebt/
The goal of the project which took place in 2012 and 2013 was to enhance and improve the marketing efforts of the region’s open-air farmers markets while increasing access for low-income citizens who are eligible to receive Federal nutrition assistance. By providing this program we believe we supported the increased access to nutritious, fresh and locally-produced food for diverse communities and increased sales volume for producers that market directly to consumers.
