2022 Pasture Walks


June 25: Equine Pasture Management Field Day

Online Registration
The Equine Pasture Management Field Day will help participants learn how to evaluate pastures and how to keep them healthy, the importance of rotational grazing and heavy use areas, and about the new protocol for parasite management. The field day will be led by Capital RC&D Grazing Advisor, Donna Foulk; Dr. Linda Quodomine D.V.M., and Suzette Truax, USDA-NRCS Grazing Specialist. 
  •  Learn how to evaluate your pasture (and have fun doing it!)
  • Practice identifying pasture forages and learn about each type
  • Learn how grass grows and what it takes to keep grass healthy
  • Learn about the new protocol for parasite management
  • Learn about the importance of rotational grazing and heavy use areas
  • Discover resources that are available to help you improve your pasture 
There is no cost but registration is requested by Friday, June 24, 2022
