What types of projects does Capital RC&D coordinate?
We are committed to improving local conservation leadership through forming partnerships and pursuing ideas from our diverse community. Our vision of a clean, healthy region that preserves and conserves natural and community resources provides focus for the program goals identified by the Council, these fall under the areas of preserving and improving water quality, promoting land conservation and supporting responsible/sustainable economic development.
Because the Capital RC&D Council has a unique structure and leadership that focuses on achieving area goals through a locally led process, the program and its projects reflect the environmental, social and cultural values of our region. RC&D projects may address the following issues (and more!):
